History

Truxtun Psychiatric Medical Group began humbly in 1984 when Dr. Manohara opened up a small office near Memorial Hospital on 34th Street. He moved to an office near Mercy Hospital a few years later and gradually expanded his staff. In 1988, Dr. Manohara made the move to the current location on Truxtun extension and over the past two decades has added Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, and Therapists.

Dr. Manohara has partnered with Good Samaritan Hospital since 1990 and now is sole owner of both Good Samaritan Hospital and Truxtun Psychiatric Medical Group. Today Truxtun Psychiatric Medical has grown into the largest psychiatric private practice in Kern County. Dr. Manohara's goal is to create a comprehensive mental health delivery system to care for the community.
